2024 Skoda Superb: India Arrival Via CBU Route

After waiting for almost a year, Skoda is finally coming with the Completely Built Unit (CBU) offering, the 2024 Skoda Superb. Still, it’s not good news for Skoda enthusiasts because the new model is almost Rs 16 lakh more expensive than the previous generation.

The new Skoda Superb is available for Rs 54 lakhs, thereby creating a difficult spot for Skoda Superb's sales because the BMW 3 series starts from Rs 60 lakhs and the Mercedes C-Class from Rs 58.50 lakhs. All are ex-showroom figures.

To make things easier for potential buyers of the Skoda Superb, the Czech carmaker has introduced a buyback program, in which Skoda will pay you 57% of the amount at the end of a three-year tenure.

What’s new on the CBU unit of Skoda Superb?

Skoda has made the 2024 Superb even safer. This sedan now packs a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Skoda’s dynamic chassis control technology, and nine airbags for ultimate safety.

However, the new iteration continues to have ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a fully digital instrument cluster, sunblinds for rear windows and rear windshield, and massage function (driver's seat), to name a few. There is also a 9-inch Columbus-sourced touchscreen infotainment system, alongside a 12-speaker Canton-sourced audio system. 

It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine, which is BS6 Ph-2 compliant. This engine also powers the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, Audi A4, and several VW Group vehicles. It delivers 190 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque and comes with a 7-speed automatic direct shift gearbox (DSG). This luxury sedan stands on an 18-inch alloy wheel.

The 2024 Skoda Superb will get three shade options: Rosso Brunello (new), Water World Green (new), and Magic Black. 

What other things should I know? 

Skoda Indian will bring only 100 units of the Superb to India via the CBU route. The Skoda Superb will be exclusively available in the fully loaded variant, the L&K. The potential buyers can reserve this CBU vehicle at the nearest dealership or via Skoda India's website.
