Royal Enfield has officially confirmed the launch of their highly anticipated motorcycle the Guerrilla 450 on July 17 in Barcelona, Spain. Royal Enfield's CEO, Govind Rajan Balakrishnan and Eicher Motors Limited's CEO (Royal Enfield's parent company), Siddhartha Lal, have announced the launch venue and date of the upcoming bike.
Expected Design, Features, and Power Figuers of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450
The Guerrilla 450 is expected to share a lot of its mechanical components with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 but unlike the latter, the former will be a road-focused machine. It might even ditch a few equipment to keep its pricing lower than the Himalayan.
As per sources, the expected features of this upcoming motorcycle include a circular LED headlight, a single-pod instrument cluster, a large fuel tank, and a single-piece seat. The single pod instrument console’s details are awaited, but we expect the Royal Enfield to offer the same unit as the Himalayan on this bike too. As per the teased images and leaks, the tail section and tank design are similar to the Himalayan 450.
However, the differences between these two machines will be the inclusion of alloy wheels and tubeless tyres on the Guerrilla 450 instead of the Himalayan’s off-road focused spoke wheels and tubed tyres. The suspension setup has also been altered, the Guerrilla will have conventional gaitered telescopic forks, whereas the Himalayan gets USD (upside down) forks at the front.
One major common factor between these two machines is their source of power, the Sherpa 450 motor. It is a 452cc single-cylinder petrol burner, which churns out 40hp and 40Nm on the Himalayan 450 and is coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. On the Guerrilla 450, this engine’s tuning is expected to be different to suit the nature of the machine.
