Over the years, Rolls-Royce has been known for tailoring their “pinnacle of luxury” vehicles as per their customers’ preferences, hence called ‘Bespoke.’

The luxury automobile manufacturer introduced this commissioned bespoke on three Rolls-Royce saloons- Ghost Extended, Phantom Extended and all-new Spectre. Rolls-Royce introduced these bespoke vehicles at Auto China 2024 in Beijing.

It is worth noting that the powertrains of these vehicles remain unchanged, except for their cosmetic upgrades.

Additionally, those three vehicles with exclusive commissioned creations include, ‘Expressionism’ for Ghost Extended, ‘Magnetism’ for Phantom Extended, and ‘Escapism’ for Spectre.

Since these newly commissioned designs have their respective names, they also have a deep meaning behind them. So, let’s get going and understand them in detail.

1. EXPRESSIONISM

The ‘Expressionism’ bespoke is exclusive to the Rolls-Royce Ghost. This saloon has an exterior paint of Boracay Blue shade, coupled with a Lime Green coachline.

The Rolls-Royce Ghost ‘Expressionism’ version stands on part-polished 21-inch alloy wheels with Orbit Grey centres and Lime Green pinstripes, shod in White-coloured pinstripe tyres.

Inside the Rolls-Royce Ghost ‘Expressionism’ version, you will find Lime Green accents with Black and Arctic White leather upholstery. This luxury sedan also has a Starlight Headliner with a celestial theme.

Meaning of the ‘Expressionism’ concept as per Rolls-Royce- “This vivid Bespoke colour captures unique hues witnessed during the transition from sunset to twilight when the sky appears to become one with the Sulu Sea. This is accentuated with a single hand-painted Lime Green Coachline, subtly referencing Boracay Island’s rich, tropical flora and fauna.”

2. MAGNETISM

This concept represents the “magnetic ambience of a beach bay under the night sky” and is exclusive to Rolls Royce’s pinnacle offering, the Phantom Extended.

This flagship Rolls-Royce has a dual-tone paintwork, finished in Cala Luna Sand and Kabira Blue, reminiscent of moonlit beach sands’ hue and horizon’s intensity which appears when the vast sea meets midnight sky, respectively.

The ‘Magnetism’ of the Rolls-Royce Phantom also has a unique Starlight Headliner, made with 768 Galileo Blue and 576 White hand-placed ‘stars’ that become animated by eight ‘shooting stars.’

Inside this vehicle, you will find front and rear reclining seats trimmed in Navy Blue, Blue Grey and Arctic White upholstery, complemented with contrast stitching, seat piping and headrest monograms in Arctic White. Further, the door veneer comprises an open-pore Obsidian Ayous woodwork.

3. ESCAPISM

This one also has dual-tone exterior coachwork. These colours represent the tropics of South America. The primary paint, finished in Lantana Red is inspired by the vivid red hues of the Lantana Flower, and their vibrant blooms are believed to bring good luck. In parallel, the secondary colour and the Rolls-Royce’s coachline are finished in Tempest Grey.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre ‘Escapism’ stands on 23-inch seven-spoke part-polished alloy wheels with centres finished in Lantana Red to match the body’s primary paint. Plus, this iteration has a softly illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy (SoE) ornament.

Inside this all-electric model is a tri-tone interior with a colour scheme of Selby Grey, Purple Silk, and Sunset. The Sunset shade is also chosen for contrast stitching, seat piping and headrest monograms. Besides that, this version of the RR Spectre has a Starlight Headliner with a Sunset hue, made with 960 fibre-optic ‘stars’, complemented by eight White ‘shooting stars,’ created with 192 fibre-optic lights.

Last, but not least, this vehicle also has a veneer made of Obsidian Ayous, which can also be seen around the Purple Silk-coloured multi-functional steering wheel, which blends with the Purple-coloured instrument dials.

As for concluding this article, here’s an opinion shared by the CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Chris Brownridge- “These unique motor cars have been designed and crafted for our clients in China, who see the world as their home and rightfully demand super-luxury products that reflect their personal tastes through finishes, materials and contemporary crafts. Each Spirit of Expression commission tells its own story, inspired by locations around the world that resonate with our clients in the region — from the beaches of Sicily to the sunset on Boracay Island. Our artisans have brought these concepts to life with exquisite Bespoke craftsmanship, including a unique celestial-inspired motif created using embroidery and stainless steel. These individual motor cars exemplify the power of our Private Office strategy. By placing Bespoke designers in super-luxury centres around the world, they are even better placed to translate regional preferences and codes of luxury into fabulously personal and emotionally resonant Rolls-Royce motor cars, creating ever-more value for our clients.”
