The Indian division of Morris Garage (MG) has revised the price list of their full-size SUV-based MG cars, the Hector and Hector Plus. They are increased by Rs 22,000 and Rs 30,000, respectively. After the price hike, the MG Hector now has a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh which goes up to Rs 22.24 lakh. In parallel, the MG Hector Plus now starts at Rs 18.20 lakh and touches Rs 23.08 lakh.
These are revised ex-showroom figures, as of June 2024.
MG Hector Price List
Only selected variants of this car have received a price hike. Those variants comprise the petrol version of Savvy Pro and Sharp Pro and the diesel-powered Blackstorm variants. The price of the Style variants has prices unchanged. It is also worth noting that the company announced the price hike after making the recent price cut announcement.

The MG Hector Plus is a three-row version of the standard MG Hector. This three-row SUV has received the biggest price hike than its standard counterpart. It has received a price hike of up to Rs 30,000. After the surge, the MG Hector Plus now has a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 18.20 lakh.

MG Hector and Hector Plus: Specifications
Both SUVs are offered in petrol and diesel versions and share the same engines. There is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine which is tuned to produce 141bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre diesel engine is tuned to churn out 168bhp and 350Nm of peak torque.
A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the turbocharged petrol version is offered in both manual and CVT gearboxes.
MG Hector and Hector Plus: Rivals
The MG Hector has several direct competitors, such as Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Harrier, and Jeep Compass, to name a few. Meanwhile, the Hector Plus goes against the Toyota Innova HyCross, Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari.
