Prices and Variants’ Names Changed of Skoda Kushaq and Slavia

The Czech automobile manufacturer Skoda has reduced the prices of the Slavia sedan and Kushaq SUV. 

After the price cut, the Skoda Slavia’s price now starts at Rs 10.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.69 lakh. On the other hand, the Skoda Kushaq now has a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.79 lakh. All are ex-showroom figures, as of June 2024. 

Additionally, Skoda India has rejigged the names of the variants of these two offerings. The previous nomenclatures were Active, Ambition and Style for both vehicles. The base, mid and top variants are categorised as Classic, Signature, and Prestige, respectively. 

It is worth noting that only the Onyx and Monte Carlo variants are exclusive to the Skoda Kushaq. 

Skoda Slavia: Revised Price List

The base variant, now called Classic (earlier called Active), has a revised starting price of Rs 10.69 lakh. Before the price reduction of Rs 94,000, the base variant used to carry a price tag of Rs 11.63 lakh. In parallel, the top 1.5-litre AT variant (now called Prestige) has a price reduction of Rs 14,000.

Skoda Kushaq: Revised Price List

The Skoda Kushaq SUV has received the highest price reduction of Rs 2.19 lakh for the top-most Monte Carlo 1.5 AT, therefore, it is now priced at Rs 18.30 lakh. Further, the Monte Carlo 1.5 AT variant is now slotted below the Prestige variant. The flagship variant, the Prestige 1.5 AT, is priced at Rs 18.79 lakh.

Skoda Kushaq and Slavia: Specifications

Both 100% localised (in India) vehicles are offered in turbocharged petrol (TSI) engines. There is a 1.0-litre TSI engine, which is tuned to produce 114bhp and 178Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre TSI engine belts out 148bhp and 250Nm of peak torque. 

As for the transmission, these two MQB-A0-IN-based vehicles have a six-speed manual, a six-speed torque converter, and a seven-speed DSG unit. 

Rivals

The Skoda Kushaq takes the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Kia Seltos. Meanwhile, the Skoda Slavia locks horns with the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
