A few weeks after its global unveiling, Porsche India has now officially launched the Porsche Cayenne GTS and Cayenne Coupe GTS in India.

Exterior Design

To enhance the looks of the car and make it even more sportier, the Porsche Cayenne GTS comes with a Sports Design package as standard. This design package includes a glossy black colour treatment on the skid plates, wheel arches, letters for Porsche branding, etc. It won’t be wrong if we say, the entire lower parts of the car are finished in gloss black.

The German SUV comes in seven colours as standard but depending on the owner's taste the brand also offers many different custom colour options, which obviously will cost additional charges. For example, Porsche's ‘Legends’ palette is available for Rs 7.3 lakh and the ‘Paint to Sample’ programme is available for Rs 20.13 lakh.

Similarly, the buyer can choose different designs and colour options for their alloy wheels, which by default, are Grey coloured 21-inch RS Spyder wheels.

Interior Design and Features

To maintain the sports car theme through and through, the car’s interior is also finished mostly in black. Highlighting features of the cabin include a 12.6-inch curved screen for instrumentation and a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen. There also are 8-way electrically adjustable front seats, a four-zone climate control system, a big panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, and a 14-speaker 710-watt Bose sound system. The vehicle also gets safety features like park assist, cruise control and active speed limit assist, as standard. The lane change assist function and a passenger screen are optional accessories, priced at Rs 2.67 lakh, Rs 1.71 lakh and Rs 1.65 lakh, respectively.

Performance

The Porsche Cayenne GTS is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre petrol burner, which churns out 500hp and 660Nm and is coupled with an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission. The vehicle rides on adaptive air suspension and has a 6-piston calliper and 410mm disc in the front and a 4-piston calliper and 365mm disc at the rear. The brand claims a 0-100kph timing of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 275kph.

Pricing and Competition

The Porsche Cayenne GTS costs Rs 2 Crore and the Coupe version is priced at Rs 1.36 lakh premium. The luxury sports SUV locks its horns with the Audi RS Q8, Lamborghini Urus S, Range Rover Sport, and Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe.
