The Italian automobile performance vehicle manufacturer Pagani Automobili has added a convertible version of its Utopia hypercar, dubbed the Utopia Roadster.
As always, this hypercar will be a limited-run offering, which will be limited to 130 units. In addition, it will be powered by the same V12 powertrain, which also powers the standard Pagani Utopia.
Pagani Utopia Roadster: New Offerings
The most notable change over the standard version of the Utopia is the convertible roof. It incorporates a hard roof top which features a removable glass panel. The hard top, however, can be placed on a dedicated stand when not in use. For added convenience, Pagani has loaded the Utopia Roadster with a soft-top as a backup, in case the weather starts changing.
Apart from that, the Italian automaker has also made some significant changes to Utopia’s monocoque chassis to optimise rigidity and resistance, as they wanted to avoid adding other heavy reinforcements, especially when the car’s roof is chopped off.
Last, but not least, the 2024 Utopia Roadster has the same dry weight as its standard counterpart, rated at 1280kg.
Pagani Utopia Roadster: Performance
As mentioned earlier, the Roadster version of the Pagani Utopia continues to be powered by the same V12 engine as its standard version. That said, it has the same Mercedes-AMG-sourced 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine, which is engineered to churn out an impressive 863bhp and whopping 1100Nm of peak torque.
These power figures are sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed manual transmission. Pagani also offers an optional 7-speed AMT gearbox with paddle shifters on this new iteration.
The company claims that the Utopia Roadster has an electronically-limited top speed of 350kmph.
Pagani Utopia Roadster: Price
The ultra-exclusive Pagani Utopia Roadster will have only 130 units produced worldwide. And, this vehicle will mark its global debut at Monterey Car Week next month in August 2024. Industry reports believe that the Utopia Roadster will carry a staggering price of €3.1 million (around Rs 28.10 crore)
