Basic Riding Gear Photograph: (Hardwire)
Have you ever felt that road literacy is nearly zero on our country's roads? If yes, then you are reading just the right piece on the internet!
If you ride a motorcycle daily, you must have a set of accessories and the necessary safety gear to keep yourself safe. Because motorcycles are the unsafest mode of transportation and require extra care from the riders. And as Ceat said in an advertisement years ago,
The streets are full of idiots.
If things go south, the only thing between you and the road is the safety gear.
In the modern world, there are umpteen motorcycle accessories and safety gear for the rider. But not everyone needs everything! If you are just a commuter who rides a 100 cc or 125 cc motorcycle only within the city, the law mandates having a helmet as long as there's an ISI mark.
However, that's not enough. A good helmet could be the fine line between life and death. Hence, INVEST in proper riding gear. PLEASE!
We have listed a few accessories and gear that you should immediately acquire after buying your new motorcycle. We have also briefly explained the benefits of using all these pieces of equipment.

The first and most important accessory is a tyre inflator. If you own any vehicle, you must get one inflator. This will not only help you in regular tyre pressure monitoring but also save you a lot of time by cutting your run time to the puncture shops for checking the levels. It also helps you on the long highway tours where puncture shops are hard to find. These are fairly portable and can be easily stowed away in backpacks as well as storage boxes.

Anyway, for the time being, carrying an extra tube on long rides should be your common practice to avoid unnecessary hassle.

Rider’s safety gear is extremely important. Our government only mandates the use of an ISI-marked helmet but that simply is not enough. As a responsible motorcycle rider and a person who values their life, you should invest as much as you can in riding gear. No matter how slow or how little you ride, you must get a pair of riding boots and a good helmet with ISI, DOT and ECE certifications. A pair of gloves are also going to be a great investment because due to human nature, hands are the first thing which we place on the ground to protect our body. This is an area where the more is the merrier. So apart from these necessary basics, you can further invest in gears like riding jackets, riding pants etc.
