Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched a limited run of its “tallboy” car, the WagonR Waltz Edition. It has a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 5.65 lakh. The price difference between the standard LXi variant and the Waltz Edition is Rs 10,000.
As the new edition of the WagonR carries a special edition tag, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR Waltz Edition incorporates updates on the interior and exterior and brings some new additional features.
Interested customers can reserve this special edition of the WagonR at their nearest dealerships, as the official bookings have commenced.
In contrast to the standard version of the WagonR, the new Waltz Edition offers a front chrome grille, fog lamps, side skirts, wheel arch cladding, body side moulding, bumper protectors, and garnishes near fog lamps. Other cosmetic changes comprise a faux silver skid plate, reflective halogen headlamps, high-mounted stop lamps, and 14-inch steel wheels.
Interior and Features
As far as the interior of the 2024 WagonR Waltz Edition is concerned, this sub-four-metre vehicle has a refreshed cabin. It includes new seat covers and floor mats. Additionally, this iteration is equipped with a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a reverse parking camera, and a security system. It also incorporates traction control, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, and dual airbags.
Engine and Transmission
In terms of specifications, the limited-run Waltz Edition of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR offers a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine and an optional 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. The former is tuned to produce 66bhp and 89Nm of torque, while the latter generates 89bhp and 113Nm of peak torque.
Both powertrains can be had either with a 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional 5-speed automatic transmission. There is also an optional CNG variant available on the WagonR Waltz Edition.
So, the new edition of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR is mechanically the same as its standard counterpart.
Pricing and Variants
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki WagonR is offered in three trims: LXi, VXi, and ZXi. This homegrown vehicle has a starting price of Rs 5.54 lakh and it goes up to Rs 7.33 lakh. In parallel, the Waltz Edition is priced at Rs 5.65 lakh.
