KTM India is all set to introduce some big bikes in the country. The brand will soon begin testing the 990 Duke, 890 Adventure, and 1390 SuperDuke R on the Indian roads. The premium motorcycle segment is emerging in India currently and KTM wants to take as much share of it as possible by diversifying its product portfolio.
The Austrian motorcycle manufacturer first wants to test their products thoroughly in the Indian environment and road conditions before officially launching them here. The brand had previously brought a hundred units of the 790 Duke into the country. It was welcomed by enthusiasts for its blistering performance but there were also a few negative feedbacks on how the machine didn’t offer compatibility with Indian road conditions and climate. KTM has learned their lesson and now they’ll properly test vehicles before launching them here.
Another complaint of a few KTM users is the poor sales and service support and the brand now plans to tackle this by training their staff and launching these big bikes in a few selected locations, most probably metropolitan cities will be the first to get these machines.
Since these bikes are bigger, more expensive and more powerful than the existing KTM lineup and that’s why, the brand needs to train its staff to be able to handle these machines and also to provide a premium experience to the buyers.
Other than the 990 Duke, 890 Adventure, and 1390 SuperDuke R, the brand also plans to bring more of its big bikes including the 1290 Super Adventure S, 890 Adventure R and more into the country in future.
