Kia Sonet and Seltos Get New GTX Model and Colour Options; Read Here

The Kia Sonet and Seltos have received a new GTX variant, which is available with petrol- and diesel-turbocharged engines. Additionally, a new Aurora Black Pearl colour is available on those iterations.

The Kia Sonet and Seltos are among the bestselling Kia cars in their respective segments and the automotive market. As for the new update, both models received a GTX variant, alongside some new colour options. 

The Sonet GTX variant is positioned between HTX+ and GTX+ variants and has an ex-showroom price of Rs 13.71 lakh. The Kia Seltos GTX variant, on the other hand, is only available with an automatic transmission. Additionally, both models with the new variant now have a brand-new Aurora Black Pearl colour scheme.

Kia Sonet GTX: Offerings

On the specifications front, the Kia Sonet GTX can be had with these turbocharged engines: a 1.5-lire diesel engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol is not available in this variant. 

However, the diesel unit is tuned to produce 114bhp at 4000rpm and 250Nm of peak torque between 1500-2750rpm. This engine is limited to a six-speed torque converter. 

In parallel, the turbo-petrol engine generates 118bhp at 6000rpm and 172Nm of peak torque between 1500-4000rpm. This unit is exclusive to the seven-speed DCT gearbox. 

As for features, the Sonet GTX LED lights (front and rear), a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a four-way powered driver seat, ventilated front seats, etc. It also has automatic headlamps, a single-pane sunroof, an auto-dimming IRVM, front and rear parking sensors, and six airbags, to name a few. 

Kia Seltos GTX: Offerings

The new Kia Seltos GTX variant also boasts a long list of features. It has a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, anti-pinch windows (all), and an air purifier. 

This SUV also incorporates LED lights (front and rear) with LED fog lamps, rain-sensing wipers, and roof rails. Additionally, this iteration runs on an 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheel, finished in gloss black. 

On the safety front, the Seltos GTX variant has a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, a rear camera with guidelines, a hill assist, six airbags, traction control, and ABS with EBD, to name a few. 

However, this SUV also has the same powertrain options as the Kia Sonet.
