Kia has facelifted the EV6. The vehicle has undergone a visual overhaul for the interior, and exterior, and received a few additional features.
Kia EV6 Facelift: Exterior Design Changes
The front fascia is where you’ll notice the changes immediately. The headlamp and DRL design have been entirely revised to make it slim. It’s more subtle now making the car look much sharper than before.
Other than lights, the front bumper and grille have also gone through changes, complemented by sharper edges and angular design aesthetics similar to the headlamp and DRLs.
The car gets a dual-tone paint scheme with the black roof which gives a gorgeous contrast look to the vehicle.
The side and rear profile of the EV remains largely unchanged, however, it gets newly designed alloy wheels which are aerodynamically designed and enhance the look of the car, and the LED taillamp design and rear bumper design have been updated slightly. Other than this, there are no major exterior design changes.
Kia EV6 Facelift Interior: Design Changes
Kia has also made several notable improvements in the interior design to make the car feel modern and fresh. The biggest change has come in the form of dual-connected curved screens. The screen layout has been revised and the screens now look seamlessly connected which wasn’t the case with its predecessor. Besides that, the car continues to be loaded with features like front-ventilated seats, an improved head-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and so on. The vehicle now has a fingerprint reader on the steering wheel, which allows registered drivers to drive without carrying the physical key. The EV is now loaded with a front camera-powered AI navigation system, borrowed from its Genesis (Hyundai's luxury car brand) cousins.
Kia EV6 Facelift: Range, Performance and Pricing
Kia has replaced EV6’s old 77.4kWh battery pack with a new 84kWh pack. Brand claims, the rear wheel drive version of the car can now go 494km on a single charge. The vehicle supports fast DC charging up to 350kW and has a claimed charging speed of just 18 minutes for 10 to 80% charge.
The AWD variant of the KIA EV6 produces 325hp and 605Nm, whereas the RWD variant churns out 225hp and 325Nm.
The vehicle is expected to arrive in India by next year in 2025. The Kia EV6, currently on sale in India, costs Rs 60.96 lakh for the base, rear-wheel-drive variant and Rs 65.96 lakh for the all-wheel-drive variant. Both are ex-showroom figures.
Because of the updated design and additional features, we expect the facelifted version to be priced slightly higher than the ongoing version.
