Kia Clavis has been making headlines for some time now. This upcoming SUV is expected to be positioned between the Kia Sonet and Kia Seltos. We have seen many spy images of the car over the months and now the latest spy images reveal that the vehicle will be loaded with many new-age offerings. Let’s take a look at all the leaked and rumoured details of the car.

Kia Clavis: Build and Design

The recently spied images of the car reveal that it’ll have all LED lighting- vertical LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, LED headlights, and LED taillights. It will also have a panoramic sunroof and roof rails. In leaked images, the vehicle looks boxy from all angles, confirming that the car will be an SUV. Looking at the images closely, the car is not going to compromise on safety, as the lower part of the front bumper has a module which most likely is a radar sensor for ADAS.

Kia Clavis: Expected Features

We expect the car to run on 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, have ventilated and powered front seats, a climate control system, driving modes, dual 10.25-inch screens with Bose surround sound system, leatherette upholstery and more. Basic safety features like ABS, EBD, ESP, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, all-wheel disc brakes and more are expected to be present in the car.

Kia Clavis: Engine Options

The Kia Clavis is expected to be powered by petrol engines initially. There might be an electric version of the car after six months or a year after the launch of the ICE version. Kia might also offer a hybrid version of the car later. We can also expect Kia to offer the 1.5-litre diesel as an option because that’s a popular choice among the Seltos and Sonet buyers.

Kia Clavis: Pricing

The vehicle is expected to launch in India by the end of this year or early next year with the EV, followed by the introduction of hybrid variants joining the fleet later. The Sonet's price starts from Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the Clavis will be positioned above the Sonet in Kia’s lineup, so we can expect it to be priced a little higher than the Sonet.
