Jeep Meridian X Special Edition Launched in India; Details Here

Jeep India has introduced a special edition of the Jeep Meridian, called the X, priced at Rs 34.27 lakh, ex-showroom. This iteration hosts a variety of cosmetic and feature additions so that this SUV can offer a premium ownership and driving experience. 

Expressing his thoughts regarding this launch, Kumar Priyesh, Brand Director, Jeep India, stated, “With an array of accessories, we have amped the Meridian's dual characteristics, catering to the adventurous spirit and refined tastes of our diverse clientele. Whether navigating challenging trails or cruising cityscapes, this edition promises to captivate enthusiasts seeking sophistication, performance, and unmatched capability. This launch not only elevates the design ethos for Jeep aficionados but also extends a broader spectrum of expression, empowering drivers to truly embody their unique identities on the road.”

For your reference, the company introduced the same edition last year in April 2023, alongside the Upland Edition, but it was later discontinued. But, the comeback of the X edition is to meet the growing demand of SUV buyers who want a feel of both urban and off-road experience.  

Jeep Meridian X Special Edition: Offerings

The Jeep Meridian X Special Edition has exclusive body paint, finished in Silvery Moon, accompanied by body-coloured bumpers (front and rear) and a grey-coloured roof. The alloy wheel design is nearly identical to the standard version of the Meridian, but it has a different colour scheme, consisting of grey and black colour tones.  

On the inside, this special edition of the Jeep Meridian is equipped with puddle lamps, side moulding, programmable ambient lighting, premium carpet mats, an air purifier, and a dashcam. In addition to that, Jeep India also offers a rear seat entertainment package on the Meridian X, but at an extra charge. 

Jeep Meridian X Special Edition: Specifications

The Jeep Meridian X edition is powered by the same engine as its standard counterpart. That said, it is the same 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine, which is tuned to produce 168bhp of peak power and 350Nm of peak torque. 

The power is sent to all four wheels (AWD) via a nine-speed automatic transmission. 

Apart from that, this vehicle stands on a McPherson Strut with frequency selective damping (FSD) and HRS with an anti-roll bar at the front, and multi-link with Strut suspension with FSD at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes on both ends. 

The Jeep Meridian’s mileage is rated at 15.7kmpl. In addition, this three-row SUV has a 60-litre fuel tank capacity. 

Jeep Meridian X Special Edition: Pricing 

The Jeep Meridian has a starting price of Rs 33.77 lakh for the base variant, the Limited Optional Diesel MT, and goes up to Rs 39.83 lakh for the top variant, the Overland Diesel AT 4x4. As for the Jeep Meridian X, this vehicle is positioned above the base variant, which is priced at Rs 34.27 lakh.
