Jeep Compass Now Starts From Rs 18.99 Lakh; Details Here

The Stellantis-owned Jeep has revised the price of the entry-level variant of the Jeep Compass in India. That said, this SUV now has a starting price of Rs 18.99 lakh, having a slashed price of Rs 1.70 lakh. Before the hike, the base variant, Sport 2.0 Diesel MT, had an ex-showroom price of Rs 20.69 lakh.

It is worth mentioning that the rest of the variants of the Compass have a price hike of Rs 17000. For your reference, this locally-produced premium SUV is offered in six trims: Sport, Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited, Black Shark, and Model S. 

Expressing his opinions regarding the revised price hike, Kumar Priyesh, Brand Director, Jeep India, stated, “We are thrilled to make the Jeep Compass even more accessible to our customers in India at a starting price of 18.99 lakhs we are enabling more people to enjoy the exceptional blend of performance, comfort, and technology that the Compass offers. This move is a testament to our commitment to our customers and our confidence in the strong desirability of the Jeep brand.” 

Jeep Compass: Powertrain

The 2024 iteration of the Jeep Compass is only available in diesel and with the same engine as before. It is powered by a 2.0-litre MultiJet turbocharged diesel unit, which is tuned to pump out 167.67bhp between 3700-3800rpm and 350Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500rpm. 

This engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic transmission. In addition, it has a 60-litre diesel fuel tank capacity. 

The Jeep Compass is available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions. 

Jeep Compass: Features

The facelifted Compass has a long list of offerings. That said, this SUV boasts a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, and a wireless phone charger.

It also has auto HVAC, a powered tailgate, a 360-degree camera, a dual-tone horn, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

 

On the safety front, this SUV is equipped with six airbags, child-safety locks, central locking, traction control, electronic roll mitigation, double crank prevention system, electronic parking, and ABS with EBD, to name a few. 

Jeep Compass: Pricing

Post the revised price list, the Jeep Compass SUV now has a starting price of Rs 18.99 lakh for the base variant, Sport 2.0 Diesel MT, and goes up to Rs 32.41 lakh for the top variant, Model S(O) Diesel AT 4x4.
