After the launch of the Hyundai Venue’s S(O)+ variant, the Korean automaker has added another variant, the S+.

This newly added variant is positioned between the S and S(O) variants. Unlike the S variant, the new S+ variant is generously equipped, as one of its notable offerings is an electric sunroof.

Overview

Another notable thing is that the new variant is around Rs 64,000 more affordable than the S(O)+ variant, which the company recently added an electric sunroof to the latter.

Aside from that, the Venue S+ is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster with a colour TFT display, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, rear AC vents, automatic headlamps, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

There are also power windows, a multi-function steering wheel, a centre armrest with storage, voice command, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

On the safety front, the Venue S+ variant also has seatbelt reminders, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, hill start assist, traction control, ESC, ABS with EBD, and 6 airbags, among others.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Hyundai Venue S+ variant is currently exclusive to a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine, which is tuned to churn out 82bhp and 114Nm of peak torque. The power is drawn via a standard 5-speed manual transmission.

Pricing and Rivals

The Hyundai Venue is a sub-four-metre SUV, which has a starting price of Rs 7.94 lakh for the base-spec E variant and goes up to Rs 13.48 lakh for the top-spec SX(O) Dual Tone Knight variant.

In addition to that, the new S+ variant carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 9.36 lakh. As mentioned above, this variant is more affordable than the S(O)+ variant, as the latter is priced at Rs 10 lakh.

All are ex-showroom figures, as of August 2024.

The Hyundai Venue takes the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon, to name a few.
