Recently, a test mule of the Hyundai Creta EV was spotted in India. It was heavily wrapped but there were some notable details that were seen on this electric compact SUV.
It showed that it had EV-oriented aerodynamic alloy wheels, plus it is expected to have ADAS, as the ADAS sensor was seen mounted on the lower section of the bumper.
No interior images are available for this iteration. But we expect to have the same interior as its ICE counterpart with a few EV-centric design elements.
So, let’s look at all the possible features of the 2025 Hyundai Creta EV.
Hyundai Creta EV: Offerings
Going by the images, the electric Creta will have the same LED lights as the ICE counterpart but with some changes here and there. Like all other EVs, this electric Creta also has a closed grille, a charging port on the front fender, and aerodynamic alloy wheels.
Besides that, it also has roof rails, split LED headlamps, interconnected LED taillamps, and a rear spoiler with an integrated stop lamp.
As mentioned earlier, the Creta EV is expected to have the same features as its ICE sibling; featuring a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, dual screens (instrument cluster and infotainment unit), and dual-zone climate control. It also has a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, and connected car technology, to name a few.
The safety features are also expected to be carried over from the ICE version to the EV.
Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain
The accurate specifications of the Hyundai Creta EV remain unknown, but, several reports claim that it will have a single electric motor, coupled with a 45kWh battery pack with an output of 133bhp and 250Nm of peak torque.
The Creta EV is also to offer a range of more than 400kms. It is also expected to support 11kW AC and up to 80kW DC charging.
Hyundai Creta EV: Market Positioning
The Indian division of the South Korean automobile manufacturer Hyundai will likely launch the Creta EV in 2025. Once launched, it is expected to directly rival the Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX. The Creta EV will also be Hyundai India’s third electric offering after Kona and IONIQ 5.
