Scheduled to launch on the aforementioned date, the updated Alcazar is likely to look similar to the updated 2024 Hyundai Creta SUV, so, it can blend with the new-age design of Hyundai cars.

So, allow us to give you all the information we have so far.

Highlights

The expected updates are likely to revolve around cosmetically and not mechanically. And, it might get some added features.

Going by the images of the test mule, they indicated a similar design as the ongoing version of the Hyundai Creta, but the company is likely to give some distinctive design features as well. The headlights’ design of the updated 2024 Alcazar is likely to remain nearly identical to the ongoing Creta, but the front bumper, the alloys and its rear end will be redesigned. In addition, the body cladding will also be changed.

As far as the interior is concerned, the industry reports suggest that the updated SUV will receive a similar cabin layout as the 2024 Creta. To keep up with the trend, the Alcazar will have a dual-screen setup but their measurements might vary from the Creta’s.

Besides that, the Alcazar will continue to offer 6- and 7-seater configurations. The features will be carried over from its outgoing version, such as multi-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, drive modes, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, wireless charger, etc.

For convenience, it has power windows, a sunglass holder, a tilt and telescopic multi-function steering wheel, foldable trays for rear passengers, a rear armrest, cup holders, keyless entry, 60:40 split seats, and so on.

On the safety front, this SUV will continue to offer ABS with EBD, traction control, hill assist, hill descent control, brake assist, multiple airbags, ESC, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, speed-sensing door lock, automatic headlamps,  etc.

In terms of specifications, the facelifted Alcazar will continue to be offered in 1.5-litre- petrol and -diesel engines. The petrol iteration is tuned to churn out 157.57bhp at 5500rpm and 253Nm of peak torque between 1500-3500rpm, while the diesel version produces 113.98bhp at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500-2750rpm.

Both engines are available in manual and automatic transmissions.

Further, the Hyundai Alcazar stands on McPherson Strut with a coil spring at the front and coupled torsion beam axle suspension at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes on both ends.
