India’s top-selling two-wheeler, the Hero Splendor Plus now gets an optional disc brake.

The updated 2024 Hero Splendor Plus XTEC is now available with an optional disc brake at the front which should bring significant improvements to the bike’s overall braking performance.

The Hero Splendor has been on sale for a very long time and it only has drum brake-based variants on offer which is industry standard for this commuter segment motorcycle.

Now, this disc brake inclusion may inspire other brands to also offer this feature.

All You Need to Know About the Hero Splendor Plus Disc Brake

The optional front disc brake variant is priced at Rs 3,550 over the standard Splendor Plus XTEC. Other than the inclusion of the front disc, nothing else has changed on the motorcycle.

It still gets the conventional commuter design with a headlight up front and a tiny DRL over it.

The indicator of the motorcycle are bulb units and the tail lamp is also a bulb unit. The motorcycle is available in many attractive colours to suit a wide range of audiences.

Propelling the motorcycle is the good old reliable 97.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which churns out 8.02hp and 8.05Nm. The motorcycle runs on 18-inch alloy wheels and it gets tubeless tyres for added convenience.

The disc brake setup has taken the weight of the bike to 113.6kg which is 1.6kg heavier than the standard bike.

In terms of features, the motorcycle gets a digital instrument console which shows all the crucial information about the motorcycle. It also has Bluetooth connectivity and i3s.

The motorcycle is as easy to ride as ever with its accessible seat height of 785mm which is comfortable for all sorts of riders.

In addition, this bike gets a roughly 10-litre large petrol tank and the claimed mileage by the brand is 73kpl which is doable by this machine on highways.

The city mileage of the motorcycle is claimed to be around the 60kpl mark, which is standard considering the nature of the motorcycle.

Interested buyers can buy the Hero Splendor Plus XTEC for an ex-showroom price of Rs 83,461. It is available in three colour schemes: Black Sparkling Blue, Black Tornado Grey, and Black Red.
