We spotted the Kia Carnival’s fourth-generation model testing on the Indian tarmac in camouflage attire. This car is expected to launch in India by the end of 2024 or early 2025. These pictures have been shared with Hardwire by Twitter user Sai Swaroop (@SaiSwar56683561). Here's everything you need to know about the Kia Carnival’s fourth-generation model.
2024 Kia Carnival: Design and Features
Our exclusive spy shots reveal newly designed alloy wheels probably 19-inch units, chunky windows and a connected LED taillamp at the rear. The connected LED taillamp has become a signature element among the new-age Kia cars. The spy shot also reveals a sharkfin antenna and a rear spoiler with a high-mounted brake lamp.
More so, this MUV will also get L-shaped LED DRLs, vertically mounted LED headlamps, a redesigned grille, and reprofiled front and rear bumpers.
On the inside, this premium MPV will be equipped with twin 12.3-inch connected displays, one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation, an optional rear screen of 14.6 inches could also be offered for rear-row entertainment. Further, the fourth-gen Kia Carnival facelift will get ambient lighting, a wireless charger, multi-zone climate control, and connected car technology, to name a few.
On the safety front, this vehicle will get features like 8 airbags (at least), Level-2 ADAS, anti-glare mirrors, and other new-age safety features.
2024 Kia Carnival: Powertrain
As per industry reports, taking care of the performance will be the same 2.2-litre diesel mill, which used to power the previous generation of the Kia Carnival in India. This engine produces 197bhp and 440Nm of peak torque. This engine solely comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
For those unaware, the fourth-generation Carnival also gets various engine options overseas, but none are expected to make it here in the Indian market.
Rivals, Expected Pricing and Launch Date of 2024 Kia Carnival
As you may recall, the Kia Carnival was positioned in the mid-luxury segment, as far as the MPV market in India is concerned. Additionally, this vehicle doesn't have any direct rival in our country. But, there are other options in the three-row-vehicle segment, such as the Kia Carens, Toyota Innova Hycross, and Toyota Velfire, to name a few.
As for pricing, there is no information, but we expect it to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh.
