The Italian performance car manufacturer Ferrari is preparing to make a foray into electrification, and they will launch their first-ever EV in 2025.

This step is expected to fill the Ferrari fanboys with awe. Ferrari will officially unveil their first electric performance vehicle by next year, while its deliveries will commence from 2026 onwards.

More so, this Italian performance-centric EV will be produced at Ferrari’s new facility in Maranello, Italy. That production facility will house ICE, hybrid, and electric vehicles, making the yearly output nearly 20,000 units.

Things We Know So Far

As for the design, the unnamed Ferrari EV has a similar design language to that of their recently launched Purosangue SUV. Yes, it has a crossover shape. The front end, however, has similar headlights as the Ferrari Roma. Since it’s a full-fledged EV, it should be safe to say that it won’t have air intake except for some air vents for aerodynamics.

It also has aerodynamic and high-performance alloy wheels. It is worth mentioning that alloy wheels might be different from the production iteration.

Interestingly, the yet-to-be-named Ferrari EV also has a quad exhaust but it is solely for aesthetic purposes. The other details, however, are yet to be revealed from the carmaker.

No interior images have been captured so far.

Last but not least, there is speculation that the Italian automobile manufacturer will position this upcoming electric vehicle above the 12-cylinder high-performance offering.

What’s More?

Since Ferrari will be shifting towards electrification, the company recently inaugurated its dedicated E-building, which is situated at Maranello’s factory. The dedicated Ferrari EV department measures 42,500 square metres, and can not only produce electric vehicles but also combustion versions.
