The famous Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Ducati has launched the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition, which will have only 555 units made globally. This limited edition was launched to pay tribute to the Superquadro engine line-up.
For those unaware, the Superquadro is Ducati’s iconic and one of the most advanced twin-cylinder engines. It has played a vital role in the company’s success for over thirty years. The notable desmodromic four-valve-per-cylinder setup, the Final Edition of the Panigale V2 pays homage to the 90-degree V2 engine.
Exclusive Design
Since this is a limited edition superbike, the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition has a few distinctive design elements over its standard counterpart. That said, the bike’s body is finished in red, white and black, while the fuel tank is painted in grey colour. Besides that, the bike’s fairing incorporates the Italian tricolour, accompanied by the contour of the engine’s forward-facing cylinder head. The Italian flag is also sewn into the seat.
Another notable offering is the billet aluminium steering plate, which houses a unique serial number embedded, designated for every dispatched unit of the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition.
There are also carbon fibre inserts on the end cap of the exhaust, swingarm protection, chain guard, shock protector, and clutch cover. Further, the bike also features adjustable aluminium-made footpegs made by Rizoma.
Mechanical Setup
Ducati uses a monocoque frame, which accommodates a 995cc, twin-cylinder engine, which is tuned to churn out 155bhp of peak power at 10,750rpm and 104Nm of peak torque at 9000rpm.
As for the suspension setup, this Italian performance bike stands on 43mm Ohlins upside down (USD) forks and a 43mm Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock at the front and rear, respectively. The suspension setup is adjustable.
Further, this bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped by Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa rubber. The braking duties are taken care of by Brembo-sourced brake callipers. There is a 320mm disc brake at the front and a 245mm disc brake at the rear.
In terms of electronics, the limited-run Ducati Panigale V2 Superquadro has multi-level traction control, anti-wheelie, ride modes, and a quick shifter, among others.
Availability
As per sources, Ducati will allocate a few units for the Indian market, and deliveries will be based on a first come first serve basis.
