Ducati has finally launched the most powerful Multistrada bike, the V4 RS. While being the most powerful, this iteration is also the most expensive in the Multistrada lineup.

As we reported earlier, this Ducati bike will have a similar pricing as the BMW M 1000 XR, but the latter is more expensive as it is priced at Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom).

However, the V4 RS is positioned above the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, priced at Rs 38.40 lakh and Rs 31.48 lakh, respectively. Both are ex-showroom figures.

Technical Bits

One of the reasons for being the most powerful Multistrada is its chassis. Ducati has used a titanium-made rear sub-frame for improved robustness, and the main frame is a familiar monocoque made of aluminium. Thanks to this architecture, the V4 RS is the lightest fourth-generation Multistrada bike.

Further on weight-shedding, the Italian company has also provided 17-inch Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres. Additionally, this model has ditched the heavy pillion grab handle and the top box mounting bracket, which have not only decreased the weight but have enhanced the aesthetics, as well.

As for the powertrain, the Multistrada V4 RS has the same as the Streetfighter V4 and Panigale V4. That said, it houses a 1103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 liquid-cooled engine, which generates 177bhp at 12,250rpm and 118Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Other onboard features include Ducati’s STM Evo-SBK dry clutch, a bi-directional quick shifter, a Panigale V4-derived air filter, and an Akrapovic-sourced exhaust system.

Besides that, this bike stands on the electrically adjustable Ohlins-sourced suspension on either side. That includes a 48mm fully adjustable upside-down fork with titanium nitride (TIN) at the front and a TTX36 fully adjustable mono-shock at the rear.

The brake setup includes dual 330mm semi-floating front disc brakes and a single 265mm rear disc brake. On both ends, there is a Brembo-sourced brake calliper. The bike’s rear end also has a single-sided aluminium swing arm.

Other Offerings

In this department, the 2024 Multistrada V4 RS has a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, which supports screen mirroring, navigation, RS graphics, etc.

This bike also boasts four ride modes (Race, Sport, Touring, and Urban). It also gets a Full Power Mode for peak performance.

Further, the V4 RS has wheelie control, traction control, launch control, engine brake control, cornering ABS, four power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low), etc. It also gets radar-assisted adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection.

Bookings

Ducati India has started taking bookings for the new model, but its deliveries are set to commence in September 2024.
