You will be in luck if you plan to buy the Maruti Suzuki Jimny in July 2024. This month, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is giving benefits worth Rs 2.85 lakh. 

Interested patrons can save up to Rs 1 lakh across the variants of this homegrown off-roader. Along with that, the Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance (MSFF) will also provide you with additional advantages worth up to Rs 1.50 lakh, depending on the Jimny’s variant. It is also worth mentioning that selected dealers are offering a discount on insurance, contributing overall savings worth up to Rs 2.85 lakh. 

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Specifications

As for specifications, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny has a 4x4 (four-wheel drive) setup as standard. This off-roader is limited to the petrol engine. It’s a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated K15B petrol engine, which is tuned to generate 103bhp of peak power at 6000rpm and 134Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm. 

The transmission options include a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny’s mileage ranges between 16.39kmpl and 16.94kmpl, depending on the transmission type. 

To make it off-road centric, the Jimny stands on a three-link axle type with a coil spring at the front and rear. 

It has a fuel tank capacity of 40 litres. 

The braking duties are taken care of by disc-drum brakes. 

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Features

This homegrown off-roader has power windows (front and rear), an adjustable multi-functional steering wheel, auto HVAC, an idle start/stop system, a 12V socket, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. It also has a manual day/night IRVM, a rear window wiper with a washer, LED lights (front and rear), adjustable headlamps, and an automatic headlight on/off feature. 

In terms of entertainment, the Jimny also has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has a four-speaker Arkamys-sourced surround sound system and Bluetooth connectivity. 

On the safety front, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear camera with guidelines, hill assist, hill descent control, pre-tensioners and force limiter seatbelts (front and rear), and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, to name a few.

Maruti Suzuki offers this vehicle is offered in two trims: Zeta and Alpha. In total, there are six variants. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny’s price starts at Rs 12.74 lakh for the base variant, the Zeta Petrol MT, and goes up to Rs 14.95 lakh for the top-spec variant, the Alpha Dual Tone AT.
