The renowned hypercar manufacturer Bugatti has bid adieu to the last and 500th unit of the Chiron. The Bugatti Chiron was first showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016 and became a production vehicle within that year. This vehicle is the successor of the iconic Bugatti Veyron.
The Bugatti Chiron L'Ultime is a bespoke iteration made under Bugatti’s in-house customisation department, the Sur Mesure.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime: Design
This Super Sport iteration incorporates a blue-coloured livery that honours the original Chiron, displayed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Additionally, the two-tone colour scheme comprises French Racing Blue and Atlantic Blue. Interestingly, the livery has handwritten names that mark notable events and venues.
The handwritten names denote the key places from the Chiron’s developments, comprising Ehra-Lessien (where it achieved a speed of 482km/h), Geneva (its debut place), Paul Ricard (the testing place), Chantilly (where it was showcased), Chateau Saint-Jean, and Cape Canaveral (places where customers experienced the hypercar).
The front end of this hypercar has a bespoke Bugatti badge on the horseshoe grille, finished in blue, while the front and rear wheels of this exclusive model have a matching colour shade as the bodypaint. Another notable design element is the ‘500’ badging done on the body, wheel caps, rear wing, and engine cover. The number depicts the total number of units produced since the inception of the Bugatti Chiron.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime: Powertrain
As for the powertrain, this exclusive Bugatti car is powered by the iconic 8.0-litre W16 engine with a quad turbocharger, plus the cylinder heads and valvetrain were also tweaked, alongside an improved oiling and slight increase in redline.
With these updates, this last iteration of the Chiron Super Sport has an output of 1578bhp and 1600Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime can achieve an impressive top speed of 490km/h.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime: Interior
The interior of the Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime has the same design language as the previous models, comprising the French Racing Blue, Deep Blue leather upholstery and Blue Carbon Matt accents.
There are also hand-made leather inserts on door panels and several #500 insignia, adding to its distinctiveness.
