BMW India Offers a 10-Year Extended Warranty on New Models; Read Here

This is the first time that BMW India has started offering a ten-year extended warranty on their new models. The buyers who opted for the extended warranty will be activated from the start date, which will end when either the mileage or time limit has been reached. 

It is worth noting that the extended warranty can only be purchased within the two-year standard warranty period, which is two years from the invoice date. 

As for the two-year standard warranty on new BMW cars, this package will cover all the material defects and other components, ensuring seamless ownership of your BMW. In addition to that, the company hasn’t slabbed a mileage limit during the warranty period of two years. 

Key Points to Remember

- As mentioned before, the buyer can only purchase the extended warranty within the two-year standard warranty period. 

- This warranty package only covers factory-fitted components, excluding accessories like ceramic brakes and performance-oriented parts.

- This package doesn’t cover parts or replacements which are subject to wear and tear or misuse.  

- Things that are not covered under this warranty include fuel system contamination and consequential damage, glass defects and accidental damages, damages (paint, body, cover, and panel), tyres and wheel damages, balancing weights, engine damage due to less oil or racing events, flood, towing costs, bulbs (except LED and Xenon), and odour and dust-related defects.

- The extended warranty is only transferable to the next owner, but not transferable to another BMW car. 

- Customers can upgrade their warranty packages anytime. 

- The package is available at all authorised BMW dealers across India. 

- Unlimited mileage coverage. Please note that the unlimited mileage coverage is only available up to 6 years. 

- In a case of a total loss, the extended warranty is void with no reimbursement.
