Yamaha India has unveiled its upcoming Yamaha XSR 155 on its social media platforms. The brand is already trying to market their bikes with the ‘Call of the Blue’ campaign on X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and Youtube. The bike is already a famous name in the international market.
This upcoming Yamaha XSR155cc bike will borrow its engine from the MT15 and Yamaha R15, plus it will draw design cues from the XSR700 and XSR900.
However, the price is still behind the curtains, but we can expect a price bracket of 1.5 to 1.7 lakh for this bike.
Yamaha XSR: Overview
The model is already available in the international market. So, we can get an idea about the basic specifications and power figures of the bike. The Yamaha XSR 155, Yamaha R15, and MT15 will share the same engine.
In this machine, the 155 single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine will produce 19.3 PS at 10,000 RPM and 14.7 Nm at 8,500 rpm. Yamaha has installed a six-speed gearbox to transfer power to the rear wheel. The Yamaha XSR 155 will also feature gear assist and slipper clutch.
Yamaha has used 17-inch alloy wheels paired with block pattern tires. On the front, it has a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension on the rear. The Yamaha XSR 155 is using dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The curb weight of the machine is 134 kg, and it has 10.4 liters of fuel tank capacity.
The ground clearance of a motorcycle is 170mm with a seat height of 808mm, with a support of straight riding posture. The Yamaha XSR 155 is expected to return an approximate overall mileage of 40 kmpl.
It is expected that the bike will be more expensive than the Yamaha FZ-X but cheaper than the Yamaha MT15. The bike will feature a digital instrument cluster to check speed, trip meter, and fuel indicator.
