In November 2023, Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan 450 in Manali, India. The Himalayan 450 marked a significant advancement for Royal Enfield in terms of technology, design, and finish. It has been one of the most popular adventure bikes in India, welcomed with generous sales figures.

Highlights of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

Royal Enfield is one of the most prominent motorcycle companies in India. It was a major upgrade over the Himalayan 400 and RE Scram 411.

However, the company introduced the latest digital instrument cluster and also fixed the chassis issues, making it unlike the old Himalayan 400. A 452cc engine powers the Himalayan 450, which is tuned to produce 39.47 bhp at 8000 rpm and 40 Nm torque at 5500 rpm.

But now, Royal Enfield has expanded its market portfolio of the Himalayan 450 as they have launched this bike in the USA. Royal Enfield will manufacture this bike in India and will export it to the USA, which translates to a higher price overseas. The brand will only introduce three variants, except for offering five variants as they do in India.

Other Details

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is the second-generation Himalayan model. People usually get confused between Old Himalayan and Scram 411, but the latter belongs to a completely different league.

The Himalayan 450’s ‘Sherpa’ engine is one of the most powerful in this segment. Aside from that, it also features a massive 17-litre fuel tank, a comfortable riding position, and an 825mm seat height, to name a few. This 450cc Himalayan bike has a kerb weight of 196 kg.

The US version of this iteration comes with optional tubeless spoked wheels, which is a major upgrade over tube tyres. The company has opened the pre-booking window for RE Himalayan 450 on the USA website
