Royal Enfield has launched their most anticipated bike, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. The launch took place in Barcelona, Spain. The brand has set the introductory price at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom).

Offerings

This street naked bike carries a modern retro design. It features a round LED headlight, an 11-litre teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a single-piece seat attached to a tubular grab handle for pillion’s safe sitting.

A 452cc single-cylinder engine powers the Royal Enfield Guerrilla, producing 39.50 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Royal Enfield (RE) has equipped the engine with a six-speed gearbox to transfer power to the rear tyre. This engine is the same as the Himalayan 450, with unchanged output.

The total kerb weight of the Guerrilla is 185kg, which is approximately 11kg less than the Himalayan 450, resulting in a better power-to-weight ratio for the Guerrilla.

A 43mm telescopic fork with 140mm travel on the front and an adjustable mono-shock with 150mm wheel travel on the rear, support the bike. The naked street bike has a 17-inch 120-section wheel on the front and a 17-inch 160-section fat wheel on the rear.

The front tyre has a 310mm disc with a dual-piston calliper and a 270mm disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear. For added safety, there is also a dual-channel ABS.

The Guerrilla 450 has LED lights, a Himalayan-like Bluetooth-enabled TFT display in the top variant, and Google-based navigation, but the base variant features an analog-digital instrument cluster.

Buyers can go for a tripper navigation pod. The Guerrilla 450 has a 1440mm wheelbase and 169mm ground clearance. The bike will compete with the Hero Mavrick 440 and the Triumph Speed 400, among others.

Pricing

Royal Enfiled has launched its new 450cc bike in three variants. The base variant of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 costs Rs 2.39 lakh, and the mid-spec Dash and top-spec Flash variants cost Rs 2.49 lakh, and Rs 2.54 lakh, respectively.

All are ex-showroom figures, as of July 2024.
