The Japanese automobile manufacturer Kawasaki has updated its cruiser bike by launching the 2025 edition of the Vulcan S in India. The company has kept everything similar to the older version, except for a new color option: Pearl Matte Sage Green. This is a newly added colour option.
The bike will compete against Royal Enfield’s Meteor 650, which costs almost half as much. The updated ex-showroom price of the Kawasaki Vulcan S is Rs 7.10 lakh, while the Meteor 650 is available for Rs 3.94 lakh. There is no other competition for this cruiser bike in this segment in India.
2025 Kawasaki Vulcan S: Highlights
For those unaware, the brand also offers another cruiser, the Kawasaki Eliminator, which uses a smaller 451cc engine that produces 44.7 bhp and 42.6 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
However, the Kawasaki Vulcan S is powered by a parallel-twin 649cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering a maximum output of 59.9 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 62.4 Nm at 6,600 rpm. Kawasaki has installed a six-speed gearbox to transfer power from the engine to the rear wheel.
The Vulcan S is equipped with an oval-shaped headlamp, a curvy fuel tank, and a semi-digital instrument cluster that lacks Bluetooth connectivity. It also features dual-channel ABS and alloy wheels.
Further, this 650cc Kawasaki cruiser bike runs on an 18-inch alloy wheel at the front and a 17-inch alloy wheel at the rear. The bike features 41mm telescopic front suspension and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock suspension. Both wheels utilize a single disc to enhance braking efficiency.
Kawasaki has installed a quite unique, large and curvy 14-litre fuel tank with a teardrop-shaped tank. The bike offers straight sitting posture, which makes it comfortable for long rides and cruising, and the seat height of this cruiser bike is 704 mm, and the ground clearance is 130 mm, while the overall curb weight of the bike is 235 kg.
