TVS Motor Company has added the new version of Jupiter 110 to its portfolio. The starting price of the scooter is Rs 73,700 for the base drum-brake variant and goes up to Rs 87,250 for the top-spec disc SXC variant.

All are ex-showroom prices.

The company has updated everything from the engine to ergonomics in this scooter, plus, it uses the marketing term “Zyada” to represent more style, performance, mileage, comfort, convenience, safety, and technology.

The new 2024 Jupiter will continue targeting the Honda Activa, Honda Dio, and Scooty Pep.

TVS Jupiter 110: Design

This new iteration has a totally new design; instead of two separate DRLs, the company has opted for one running line-shaped Infinity DRL on the front, complemented by a reprofiled headlamp cowl.

It also features a coloured LCD speedometer, integrated with TVS' SmartXConnect system to provide useful features like a smart alert feature, navigation assist, and average and real-time mileage.

The company has also repositioned the fuel tank to increase under-seat storage; thereby now allowing two full-size helmets. The new Jupiter 110 is a completely changed unit from the old version, as the former is now 14 mm longer, 15 mm wider, and 43 mm taller than the previous model.

The sleek Infinity-shaped light is also present on the rear end. TVS Jupiter 110 has new colour options: Meteor Red Gloss, Titanium Grey Matte, Dawn Blue Matter, Galactic Copper Matter, Lunar White Gloss, and Starlight Blue Boss.

TVS Jupiter 110: Other Offerings

A 113.3 cc engine powers the new TVS Jupiter 110, delivering a peak power output of 8.02 hp and generating a maximum torque of 9.8 Nm. The iGo mild-hybrid technology, coupled with the new generation engine reportedly returns an increased mileage by 10% compared to the previous generation.

The scooter has a start-stop functionality and an integrated starter generator to pull power from the battery while climbing and overtaking.

Commenting on the launch, K.N. Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, stated, "The all-new TVS Jupiter 110 demonstrates our commitment to investing in customer expectations, engineering, technology, design, and ergonomics; ahead of the curve. We have also upgraded the quality of customer experience at TVSM showrooms, and the new TVS Jupiter 110 takes that entire experience package forward. We are confident that the TVS Jupiter, with its many first-in-segment features, will further build our position in the two-wheeler market."

Moreover, the suspension and brakes are similar to those of the old generation, but the new TVS Jupiter 110 has a gas-filled emulsion damper on the rear instead of hydraulic dampers. The new Jupiter has a bigger 220mm disc brake, but the 130mm drum brake is similar to the old gen. TVS has also fitted 12-inch tyres to improve this scooter's handling.
