BGauss RUV350 Electric Scooter Unveiled Ahead of India Launch

The Chakan-based electric automobile manufacturer BGuass recently unveiled its next offering, the RUV350. Once launched, it will rival the Ola S1 Air, Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450S, etc.

The Chakan-based electric automobile manufacturer BGuass recently unveiled its next offering, the RUV350. Once it arrives, the BGauss RUV350 will join the C12i electric scooter fleet. For reference, the BGauss C12i is offered in three variants in India: EX, Max 2.0, and Max. Its price ranges between Rs 1.13 lakh and Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom). 

As for the BGauss RUV350, this electric scooter will be launched in India on June 25, 2024. 

BGauss RUV350: Expected Offerings

As mentioned earlier, the company unveiled their upcoming offering but it was done via a set of images, uploaded by the firm on social media. 

Going by the images, the RUV350 is expected to have large alloy wheels, likely to be 16 or 17 inches in measurement. In addition, a decently sized footboard is also expected to be there, which can offer a comfortable ride, while the hardware looks overall basic.

More so, this RUV350 EV will most likely have a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by drum brakes at both ends. 

On the features front, this homegrown electric scooter will most likely have a fully digital instrument cluster, a reverse parking feature, all-LED lighting, ride mode(s), and telematics. These are some basic offerings that are available on new-age electric scooters and, therefore, expected from the BGauss RUV350, as well. 

It is also worth mentioning that the Indian automobile manufacturer claimed this upcoming electric scooter will be designed and built to tackle all terrains. 

BGauss RUV350: Marketing

According to reliable sources, the RUV350 scooter could be positioned above the BGauss C12i, making it the company’s premium iteration. Speaking of the C12i, this electric scooter was launched in 2023, and its three variants run on different battery packs. 

The C12i EX has a 2kWh battery with a claimed range of 85km while the mid (Max 2.0) and top (Max) variants have a battery pack of 2.7kWh and 3.2kWh with a claimed range of 123km and 135km, respectively. 

It remains to be seen if the company will offer the same powertrain on the RUV350 as the C12i. However, once launched, the BGauss RUV350 will lock horns with the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air, and Ather 450S, to name a few.
