Recently, Bajaj Motors was spied on testing the N125 commuter bike. This test mule was, however, covered with a camo wrap, but it did indicate several design elements and, therefore, the images showed a similar design language as the bigger Pulsar N150.

And, we have more to tell you, so let’s delve into the details we have so far.

Design

Up front, the new Bajaj N125 has received a newly designed headlight, plus it gets an easy-to-reach handlebar, a split-seat setup and a single-piece grab rail. For added comfort, the footpegs are also mid-set, which returns an upright and comfortable riding posture.

Besides that, it also has a muscular fuel tank, complemented by sharp tank shrouds and a sleek rear section.

This Bajaj 125cc bike’s exhaust has an underbelly-centric setup.

The images also depict a telescopic fork with fork covers at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Further, it also houses a leg guard at the front and a centre stand.

The N125 test mule seemed to run on a 17-inch alloy wheel on either side while having a similar wheel design as the N150.

Lastly, the spotted test mule shown in the image depicts a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. As we have seen in this segment, the lower variants have drum brakes on both ends, while the top-spec variant(s) have a disc-drum setup. We can expect the same offering pattern from the N125.

Other Offerings

Industry reports suggest that Bajaj power the N125 with the company’s all-new 125cc engine. In other news, Bajaj might incorporate the downsized engine of the Pulsar N150.

However, a new engine for this bike would provide better refinement and power delivery, thereby making it easy for the N125 to aggressively compete with its direct rivals.

Besides that, the Bajaj N125 is expected to receive a negatively-lit LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The presence of wireless connectivity indicates that the owner can access several features, such as call/SMS alerts, navigation, vehicle status, fuel level, live location, last parked location, etc.

Launch Timeline

According to credible sources, Bajaj Motors may launch the new N125 commuter bike in our country during this year’s festive season, which falls between October and November. Upon its launch, it rival the Honda SP 125, TVS Raider 125, Hero XTreme 125R, etc.
