First-ever spy shots of the Audi Q6 e-tron have emerged in the Indian automotive scene. The e-SUV was spotted flaunting its design, while on a test run on Mumbai roads.

The images reveal the design of this German luxury electric SUV and since the vehicle wasn’t disguised, we have much to share.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Build and Design

The Audi Q6 e-tron is built on the PPE (premium platform electric) architecture. This is the same platform which Porsche uses for its Macan EV.

The spotted test mule is a left-hand drive version, an international spec of the Q6 e-tron. As seen on many modern cars with a split headlamp setup, this Audi EV also incorporates the same design language with headlights and DRLs, positioned separately.

The rear profile of the EV also looks elegant and stylish with its animated LED taillamps, which change based on situations and can be customised to various patterns, as per user requirements.

This test mule also had India-bound alloy wheels and silver-finished inserts on the bumpers, distinguishing itself from the global model.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Performance, Battery and Charging

The globally sold Audi Q6 e-tron Quattro (AWD) has a 100kWh battery pack with a twin motor setup, one on each axle, making 388hp (combined power).

However, the Indian version is expected to have a smaller battery unit of 83kWh with a single motor and rear-wheel drive-biased setup, producing less power than the international version.

The charging speed is expected to be the same as its global model. It will support up to 270kW of fast charging, replenishing the battery from 10 to 80% in just 21 minutes.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Market Positioning

The Audi Q6 e-tron is expected to launch in the country later this year or early next year in 2025.

Its pricing is expected to start from Rs 80 lakh onwards. Additionally, Audi India might slot the electric Q6 above the Volvo XC40 Recharge and BMW iX1, but below the Mercedes EQE SUV, Audi Q8 e-tron, and BMW iX.
