The American automobile manufacturer Chevrolet rather chose to offer a highly-tuned turbocharged petrol engine on the 2025 Corvette ZR1. Without any hybridisation or electrification, Chevrolet or “Chevy” managed to take out 4-digit figures, as far as the power and torque are concerned.

Yes, you read that right!

For those unaware, the Corvette ZR1 is the first model to have a factory-fitted turbocharged installed.

So, without wasting time, let’s read about the offerings of the most powerful 2025 Corvette ZR1.

Specifications

The 2025 ZR1 iteration of one of the most iconic high-performance cars, the Corvette, is equipped with an avantgarde 5.5-litre, flat-plane crank V8 engine. This twin-turbo-powered petrol engine is tuned to produce power in four figures - 1064bhp of peak power and 1123Nm of peak torque. This engine is codenamed ‘LT7’.

Chevrolet says this highly tuned V8 petrol unit is America’s most powerful V8 engine.

This vehicle’s engine is tuned to touch up to 8000rpm, enabling the Corvette ZR1 to achieve a top speed of 347km/h. Aside from that, the acceleration is also equally impressive, as it can do a quarter mile in just 10 seconds.

The power is delivered to the wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, shared with the Z06 model.

The company has achieved these power figures by installing an entirely new air intake system, a secondary port fuel-injection system, new cylinder head castings with LT7-specific CNC machined ports, combustion chambers, and unique pistons and connecting rods.

Further, an adaptive suspension system is kept standard. Its bodywork is also reprofiled for lower drag, alongside a flow-through hood (frunk) for efficient engine cooling and front downforce.

Other cooling additions include carbon-fibre side ducts for the rear brakes and roof-mounted ducts for turbo-cooling (mostly found on coupes).

The standard ZR1 variant runs on a 20-inch and a 21-inch at the front and rear, respectively. The tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

However, there is an optional ZTK Performance package, which includes stiffer springs, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyres, a high-downforce-designed rear wing, and other aerodynamic tweaks and additions.

The overall kerb weight of the Corvette ZR1 is rated at 1664kg.

Features

Beginning from the outside, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 incorporates imposing aerodynamic design elements. The most notable feature is a split rear window; unmistakably a Corvette’s feature.

Other offerings include a front lip on the front bumper, LED DRLs with LED headlights, quad exhaust, and roof louvres to cover the rear-mid engine, among other features.

As for the inside, this American-made high-performance coupe vehicle hosts a driver-centric dashboard layout. The core features comprise an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, individual buttons for gear shifting (P-R-N-D), a centre storage compartment, ventilated seats, voice command, a leather-wrapped with carbon multi-function steering wheel, a leather upholstery, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Availability

It is worth mentioning that the Corvette ZR1 will enter the production line in 2025. Additionally, the variant-wise price list is yet to be announced.

For reference, the current iteration is the 8th generation model (codenamed C8), which debuted in 2020. Since then, Chevrolet has added many editions of the Corvette C8, making the ZR1 one of the editions.
