Launched in India: New Porsche Panamera Priced at Rs 1.70 Crore

Porsche India has launched the new generation 2024 Panamera, priced at Rs 1.70 crore, ex-showroom. It’s the third generation, which is codenamed ‘972 Chassis G32.’  

This iteration was already listed on Porsche India’s official website, alongside its price list in the second-half of 2023. Just so you know, the outgoing V6 Panamera’s price was last recorded at Rs 1.57 crore, ex-showroom. 

2024 Porsche Panamera: Exterior and Dimensions

As for the exterior, this new-gen offering continues to have the Panamera silhouette. However, the front fascia is revamped including the bumper and lights. The LED headlamps look the same as seen on the new-age Porsche cars. 

Apart from that, the Panamera has also received a new set of alloy wheels, plus various style options at different prices. 

Its rear end has a width-spanning continuous sleek LED taillamp. The rear bumper is also reworked and is sleeker yet sportier. Additionally, the lower section of the rear bumper is flanked by trapezoidal exhaust tips, finished in chrome. 

The new Panamera has grown in size, as well. This 2024 iteration has a length of 5049mm, a width of 1937mm, and a height of 1423mm, and sits on a wheelbase of 2950mm. The 2024 Panamera has a ground clearance of 134mm. Its kerb weight is rated at 1995kg. 

Moreover, its boot space is also quite spacious at 495 litres. 

2024 Porsche Panamera: Features 

The 2024 Porsche Panamera’s interior has a nearly identical dashboard layout as the new-age Porsche cars. As for features, this vehicle has a four-zone auto HVAC, anti-glare mirrors, 12V sockets (2), multiple-way electrically adjustable seats, leather upholstery, and front ventilated seats (heating function only).

The standard variant also has a semi-digital instrument cluster, alongside a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. And, the infotainment unit has both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Further, it has multi-coloured ambient lighting, puddle lamps, a panoramic sunroof, 50:50 rear split seats with cabin-to-boot access, and a headlight height adjuster. 

There is an array of features which are optional, such as telematics (connected car technology), heads-up display, rear seat entertainment screen(s), upholstery colour with piping and stitching, leather type, and custom exterior paint, to name a few.  

On the safety front, the Porsche Panamera has these features as standard: emergency brake light flashing, ten airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, child-seat anchorages, seat belt warnings, and blind spot detection. It also has ABS with EBD, brake assist, ESP, hill-hold control, ride height adjustment, and limited slip differential (LSD). However, some drive assist features are kept optional, as well.   

2024 Porsche Panamera: Specifications

The all-new 2024 Panamera is now equipped with Active Suspension Management which is essentially an adaptive air suspension system, therefore it has a ride height adjustment and, that too as standard. 

The India-spec Panamera is only powered by a 2.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol engine. This engine produces a peak power of 349bhp and 500Nm of peak torque; up by 22.6bhp and 50Nm of torque over its predecessor. This engine powers the rear wheels via a standard eight-speed PDK automatic gearbox. 

It has a top speed of 272 km/h, plus this German saloon can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds. It benefits from an active rear spoiler and rear-axle steering for better stability and aerodynamics.

2024 Porsche Panamera: Pricing and Availability

As mentioned above, the new-gen Panamera has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.70 crore. This price is subject to revision without any prior notice. Further, the deliveries of this have also commenced.
