As the facelift word implies, the updated Audi Q8 has received some cosmetic tweaks and received a few added features. So, allow us to give you all the details we have till now.
Design
The updated Audi Q8 continues to carry the same silhouette as the pre-facelift, despite receiving the cosmetic updates. This latest SUV houses a revised front grille, coupled with new inserts, and new HD Matrix LED headlamps with a high-power laser diode.
The side profile remains the same as before, but the updated version has received a new set of alloy wheels.
On the other hand, the rear end of the facelifted Audi Q8 now looks in line with the new-age Audi cars. It has a redesigned LED tail lamp with the OLED technology. For those unfamiliar, the international-spec Audi Q8 offers four customisable light designs.
Interior and Features
The India-bound 2024 Audi Q8 is believed to have a nearly identical cabin layout to the outgoing version but the German luxury carmaker will now offer new upholstery and interior colour options.
As far as the features go, the new Q8 will continue to get a heads-up display, dual MMI touchscreens, four-zone climate control, multi-colour ambient/mood lighting, a sunroof, and a cooled glove, to name a few.
On the safety front, the Audi Q8 will continue to offer brake assist, six airbags, an anti-theft alarm, anti-glare mirrors (IRVM and ORVMs), tyre pressure monitoring, hill assist, hill descent control, and ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, among others.
We can expect a few ADAS features, a 360-degree camera, and other new-age safety features from the updated iteration.
Powertrain
The Audi Q8 is likely to retain the petrol engine as the current version. The India-spec Q8 SUV houses a 2995cc (TFSI) four-cylinder turbo-petrol unit, which is tuned to produce 335.25bhp at 5200-6400rpm and 500Nm of peak torque at 1370-4500rpm.
The power is delivered to all four wheels (AWD or Quattro in Audi’s language) via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
With this power plant, this vehicle has a top speed of 250km/h.
The Audi Q8 has a fuel tank capacity of 85 litres.
Pricing
The pre-facelift Audi Q8 in India has a starting price of Rs 1.07 crore and goes up to Rs 1.43 crore. There are two variants on offer: Celebration Edition (base) and Standard (top).
Both are ex-showroom figures, as of August 2024.
Once the facelifted iteration is launched on August 22, 2024, a price hike will be observed.
