The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has completely waived the registration tax on hybrid vehicles. This initiative will push customers to buy hybrid cars, and hybrid vehicles will make the drivers understand the working principle of battery-based four-wheelers.
The manufacturers offering hybrid vehicles in India comprise Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, and Lexus, to name a few. The step will advocate the buyers to shift towards sustainability, and as for figures, the UP government charges an 8% road tax on cars under Rs 10 lakh and 10% on cars above Rs 10 lakh.
