Samsung has officially introduced the Samsung W26 in China, a luxury edition of its latest foldable lineup. The launch follows the global debut of the Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z Fold7 earlier this year but is positioned as a region-specific, ultra-premium variant.
Hardware and Core Specs
On the inside, the W26 is essentially identical to the Galaxy Z Fold7. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, paired with a 4,400mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging. The camera setup is led by a 200MP primary sensor, ensuring flagship-level photography.
The device features a 6.5-inch cover display and a massive 8-inch foldable inner display, with the same dimensions as the Fold7 — 8.9mm thick and weighing 215g.
Premium Design and Exclusive Add-Ons
Where the W26 stands out is in its luxury design and packaging. Both color options sport gold ribbed frames, giving the phone a more distinctive, high-end look compared to the standard Fold7. The back panel is made of glass, a shift from the ceramic finish used on last year’s Samsung W25.
Adding to the exclusivity, the W26 comes with deluxe packaging, an exclusive Kevlar case, and even a CNY 1,000 telecom discount code included in the box.
Price and Configurations
The Samsung W26 commands a hefty premium. It comes in two storage variants, both with 16GB RAM:
-
512GB model – CNY 16,999 (~$2,383)
-
1TB model – CNY 18,999 (~$2,664)
This makes it significantly pricier than the standard Galaxy Z Fold7 sold in China.
Market Availability
The W26 is a China-exclusive model and isn’t expected to launch globally. However, enthusiasts in other regions may be able to get their hands on it via third-party importers. Unlike last year, when Samsung also released the W25 Flip, the W26 series does not include a flip version.
