The Poco F7 Ultra only launched earlier this year, but leaks are already giving us a peek at what its successor—the Poco F8 Ultra—might look like. While Poco hasn’t confirmed anything yet, early reports suggest some serious upgrades in performance, cameras, and especially battery life. And yes, a global release is expected, which likely includes India.
Powering Up with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
According to tipsters, the F8 Ultra could run on Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, unveiled on September 24. If true, that would put it right up there with the latest flagship phones from other big brands, making it a strong contender in the premium category.
Display and Cameras: Going All In
Leaks point to a 1.5K or 2K LTPO OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, promising smooth visuals whether you’re gaming or scrolling. On the camera side, the setup could be impressive: a 50MP main sensor with OIS, paired with a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP periscope lens for zoom shots. Even the selfie camera might get a huge bump to 50MP, an upgrade from the 32MP front shooter on the F7 Ultra.
A Monster Battery Upgrade
One of the biggest rumored highlights is the battery. The F8 Ultra could pack a massive 7,000mAh unit—a big leap from the 5,300mAh in its predecessor. Pair that with 100W wired charging and support for wireless charging, and the phone could be a powerhouse for heavy users.
Other Extras to Expect
Beyond the big-ticket specs, the leaks also hint at some quality-of-life improvements: an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, better speakers and haptics, and a rugged IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.
