OnePlus has officially pulled the wraps off its latest flagship, the OnePlus 15, at a launch event in China this October. Positioned as the true successor to the OnePlus 13, the new device brings some of the biggest upgrades we’ve seen in recent years — from an extra-large 7,300mAh battery to blazing-fast charging speeds and the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Together, these features place the OnePlus 15 firmly among the most powerful Android smartphones available right now.

Price, Storage Options, and Design

OnePlus has gone aggressive with pricing in its home market. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at CNY 3,999 (around ₹50,000), while the top-end variant with 16GB RAM and a massive 1TB of storage costs CNY 5,399 (roughly ₹67,000). Other options include 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, and 16GB + 512GB.

On the design front, the OnePlus 15 gets a fresh, refined look thanks to its squared triple-camera module. The phone is offered in three striking finishes: Absolute Black, Misty Purple, and Sand Dune — with the Sand Dune variant standing out for its matte, sandstone-like texture. Sales in China kick off from October 28.

OnePlus 15 Features and Performance

The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz adaptive refresh rate, aimed squarely at gamers and performance enthusiasts. OnePlus admits the resolution is a compromise — but it’s the trade-off needed to make the 165Hz refresh panel possible.

At its heart is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring top-notch multitasking and gaming performance. Powering the device is the enormous 7,300mAh battery, supported by 120W Super Flash Charge and 50W wireless charging for fast and flexible power-ups.

Camera Setup

Photography has also received a serious boost. The triple rear camera system includes:

  • 50MP main sensor with OIS

  • 50MP ultra-wide lens

  • 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens

On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera, making it a well-rounded setup for both casual and pro-level photography.

India Launch Outlook

For Indian buyers, OnePlus has already started dropping teasers on its official site, with a big announcement expected on October 29. While the exact launch date isn’t confirmed yet, the OnePlus 15 is likely to debut in India in the first week of November. Industry chatter suggests the phone will be priced in the ₹60,000–₹70,000 range, targeting the premium flagship segment.
