OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its next big flagship, the OnePlus 15, which will succeed the OnePlus 13. The company has already started dropping teasers on Chinese social platform Weibo, while OnePlus India has confirmed one of the phone’s biggest highlights—its next-gen Qualcomm processor.
New Design, Materials, and Launch Date
Among the teasers, one that stands out is the new ‘Sand Dune’ color variant, which will be marketed in India as ‘Sand Storm.’ The finish is described as having a smooth, ceramic-like texture, giving the phone a premium look and feel.
Underneath, the device reportedly uses an aerospace-grade nano-ceramic metal alloy, which OnePlus claims is even stronger than titanium or stainless steel. As for timing, a teaser posted on Weibo shows the date October 27, 2025—hinting at a potential global launch event.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Confirmed
At Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 2025 Summit, the head of OnePlus India officially confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will run on the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Built on a 3nm process, this chipset boasts a peak clock speed of 4.6GHz, promising 20% better CPU performance and 35% improved power efficiency over its predecessor. The new Adreno GPU also gets a 23% performance boost, making the OnePlus 15 a serious contender for gaming and heavy multitasking.
Expected Specs and Features
Beyond the processor, leaks suggest the OnePlus 15 will feature a 6.82-inch 1.5K OLED display with an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. Storage and memory options may go up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.
On the camera front, it’s expected to pack a 50MP triple rear setup, along with a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Powering everything could be a massive 7,000mAh battery, paired with 120W fast charging for quick top-ups. The phone is also tipped to run Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 out of the box.
