Motorola has launched the Moto G Power (2026) in the US and Canada, and it is more of a small upgrade than a brand new phone. This new model replaces the Moto G Power (2025) and keeps most of the core hardware the same, while improving a few areas that users actually notice in daily use.

The phone still focuses on long battery life and a big screen, but it now comes with a better selfie camera, tougher display protection, and new colour options. Motorola has also increased the price slightly compared to last year’s model.

Price and availability

In the US, the Moto G Power (2026) costs $299.99, while in Canada it is priced at CAD 449.99. Motorola is selling only one version of the phone, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The phone will be available in two colours called Evening Blue and Pure Cashmere. Sales start from January 8, and buyers can purchase it from Motorola’s official website, online retailers, and select offline stores in both countries.

Moto G Power (2026) Specifications

The phone features a large 6.8 inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and animations feel smooth. Motorola has also improved brightness, with the screen reaching up to 1,000 nits, making it easier to use outdoors.

For protection, the display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which should help against scratches and minor drops. Audio is handled by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, offering a better sound experience for videos and games.

Inside, the Moto G Power (2026) runs on the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor used in last year’s model. It comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and there is a microSD card slot that supports up to 1TB expansion. The phone ships with Android 16 out of the box.

On the camera side, Motorola has made one clear upgrade. The rear setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens, similar to before. However, the front camera has been improved to a 32MP sensor, which should deliver sharper selfies and better video calls.

Motorola has also added several AI-based camera features, such as Auto Night Vision, Portrait mode, Auto Smile Capture, and Shot Optimisation.

Battery life remains one of the phone’s strongest points. The Moto G Power (2026) packs a 5,200mAh battery and supports 30W wired charging along with 15W wireless charging, which is still rare in this price range.

Other useful features include NFC, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick unlocking.

Overall, the Moto G Power (2026) feels like a safe update rather than a big leap. It keeps the strengths of the series intact while fixing a few weak spots, especially the front camera and display protection.
