iQOO has officially confirmed its next performance-focused smartphone, the iQOO Z11 Turbo. The company has opened reservations in China and revealed key specifications, showing that the phone aims to deliver flagship-level performance at a mid-range price.

Flagship Processor in a Mid-Range Phone

The biggest highlight of the iQOO Z11 Turbo is its processor. iQOO has confirmed that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, the company’s latest flagship chipset built on a 3nm process.

This processor is usually found in expensive flagship phones, but iQOO is bringing it to the Z-series to target gamers and power users. According to iQOO executives, early testing shows better power efficiency compared to rival devices, though the battery size has not yet been revealed.

Premium Build and Strong Durability

Unlike earlier Turbo models that used plastic bodies, the Z11 Turbo will feature a metal frame with glass on both sides, giving it a more premium feel.

The phone also stands out for its durability. It comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it is protected against dust, water immersion, and even high-pressure hot water sprays—a feature rarely seen outside premium flagship phones.

Compact Display and Faster Fingerprint Sensor

The iQOO Z11 Turbo will feature a 6.59-inch display, which is smaller than most gaming phones. This suggests a focus on comfort and easier one-handed use.

For security, the device uses an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which is faster and more secure than the optical sensors used in previous models.

200MP Camera and Aggressive Pricing

Despite its gaming focus, the phone will also offer a 200MP main camera, placed inside a square camera module on the back.

iQOO has confirmed that the Z11 Turbo will be priced between CNY 2,500 and CNY 3,000 (roughly $345 to $415). This places it firmly in the “flagship killer” category, offering top-end hardware at a much lower price than traditional flagships.

Why the iQOO Z11 Turbo Matters

By using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 so early, iQOO is raising the bar for mid-range smartphones. Until now, most “Turbo” phones used older flagship processors to keep costs low.

Features like IP69 water resistance and ultrasonic fingerprint scanning, which were exclusive to premium phones just a year ago, are now entering the mid-range segment. This could push rival brands like Redmi and Realme to upgrade their own offerings.

Launch Timeline

With pre-orders already live in China and key specifications officially confirmed, the iQOO Z11 Turbo is expected to launch very soon. It remains to be seen whether these powerful features will also make it to the global versions of the phone.
