HP has officially introduced the HyperX Omen 15 to the Indian market, marking the first time the famous HyperX gaming brand has been slapped onto one of its notebooks. Originally teased at CES 2026, this machine isn’t just a basic refresh; it’s a high-performance tool aimed at gamers and creators who need a laptop that stays cool under pressure.
Fast visuals and quicker reactions
The new Omen 15 features a 15.3-inch screen that prioritizes speed and clarity. With a 180Hz refresh rate and a tiny 3ms response time, it is built to handle fast-paced action without any ghosting. HP also focused heavily on the keyboard, using “8K polling” technology. This ensures that the time between you pressing a key and seeing the action on the screen is almost instantaneous—roughly 0.125 milliseconds.
Serious power and clever cooling
Inside, the laptop packs the latest Intel Core i7-14650HX processor and an Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU. To keep these parts from overheating, HP uses a reverse-airflow system called Tempest Cooling, which also helps prevent dust from clogging the internals. It comes standard with 24GB of fast DDR5 memory, making it a solid choice for video editors who need to multitask.
Market Impact & Context
By launching the first HyperX-branded laptop in India, HP is trying to create a more unified identity for its gaming products. Priced at ₹1,49,999, it sits in a competitive spot against the Lenovo Legion and Asus ROG series. While many brands focus only on raw power, HP is betting that specialized features—like the ultra-fast keyboard response and anti-dust cooling—will convince Indian gamers to make the switch.
The HyperX Omen 15 is available now in Shadow Black through Flipkart and select retail stores.
