Hero MotoCorp has quietly updated the Xtreme 125R range with a brand-new single-seater variant, priced at Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom). This version sits between the base IBS trim and the higher split-seat version with ABS, giving buyers yet another option in the popular commuter-sports segment.

Pricing and Positioning

The Hero Xtreme 125R IBS continues to be the entry point at Rs. 98,425, while the split-seater ABS model sits at the top at Rs. 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom). The new single-seater variant neatly fills the gap between these two.

Engine and Performance

Underneath, nothing has changed. The bike is powered by the same 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 11.5 hp and 10.5 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a five-speed transmission, the same setup that also powers the recently launched Hero Glamour X.

Features and Equipment

The 2025 Hero Xtreme 125R continues to pack a healthy feature list:

  • All-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity

  • LED headlamp, LED tail lamp and LED turn signals

  • Stylish alloy wheels and sharp body panels

Colour choices include Stallion Black, Firestorm Red, and Cobalt Blue, repeated in dual-tone finishes for a total of six options.

Chassis, Suspension and Brakes

Built on a diamond frame chassis, the Xtreme 125R uses 37 mm telescopic forks up front and a hydraulic monoshock at the rear. It runs on 17-inch alloy wheels, fitted with a 90/90-17 tubeless tyre at the front and a 120/80-17 tubeless tyre at the rear.

Specs at a glance:

  • Kerb weight: 136 kg

  • Wheelbase: 1,319 mm

  • Ground clearance: 180 mm

  • Seat height: 794 mm

  • Fuel tank: 10 litres

Braking is handled by a 240 mm front disc brake and a 130 mm rear drum brake. CBS is standard across the lineup, while the top model gets a single-channel ABS system.

Hero Glamour X: Segment Benchmark

While the Xtreme 125R adds a fresh variant, the Hero Glamour X remains one of the most feature-packed models in its class. It introduces segment-first features like cruise control, ride-by-wire technology, and three ride modes (Eco, Road and Power). It also boasts a TFT instrument console with connectivity options.

The Glamour X is available in five colours and comes in drum and disc versions. Prices start at Rs. 90,000 for the drum variant and go up to Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom) for the disc version.

Final Word

With the launch of the single-seater variant, the Hero Xtreme 125R now offers more choice without changing its proven engine and features. For riders who want sporty styling, LED lighting, and everyday practicality at an affordable price, this refreshed lineup should be appealing — while the Hero Glamour X continues to stand tall with its premium features in the 125cc space.
