The China-based manufacturer of consumer electronics and appliances Xiaomi has made a foray into the electric automobile market. That said, Xiaomi’s first car was the SU7 sedan, which is pegged at the Porsche Taycan’s rival.
Following that, Xiaomi is preparing to add another electric vehicle to its portfolio, codenamed MX11, which was spotted testing in China.
Xiaomi MX11: Expected Design
The spy shots depict a streamlined design on the front end with slender LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and headlamps, which resemble the Xiaomi SU7.
The downsloping roof extends to the rear, plus its side profile is reminiscent of the Ferrari Purosangue.
Other noteworthy elements comprise yellow brake callipers, five-spoke wheels, and connected LED taillights.
Xiaomi MX11: Specifications & Other Highlights
On the specifications front, the details remain to be seen. Some are speculating that this upcoming electric SUV could share the mechanical components with its sedan sibling, the SU7. That said, it could borrow a 400V architecture, alongside a 73.6kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
However, the MX11 is expected to comprise a 101kWh battery and 800V architecture in its top-most variant.
Xiaomi’s first electric vehicle, the SU7, has made a strong footprint across the globe, thanks to its affordable price in China, which carries a starting price of RMB 215,900 (Rs 24.90 lakh), and it goes up to RMB 299,990 (Rs 34.59 lakh).
Once this vehicle is launched, it will most likely rival the Tesla Model Y. According to several reports, the upcoming Xiaomi MX11 is expected to arrive in China next year in 2025.
