There are reports that Skoda’s MQB-A0-IN-based vehicles - the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia - are in the pipeline to get a facelift from inside and outside. There is speculation that Skoda India will launch these facelifted versions between 2025 and 2026.

So, let’s see what offerings are expected from the facelifted Skoda Kushaq and Slavia.

Skoda Slavia and Kushaq Facelift: Expected Additions

As the moniker ‘facelift’ implies, these two offerings are deemed to undergo an overhaul inside and outside. As for their exteriors, the facelifted- Slavia sedan and -Kushaq SUV are expected to have redesigned bumpers (front and rear), a tweaked butterfly grille, and a new set of alloy wheels. Additionally, these vehicles are expected to have connected LED lights on either end.

In the interior department, the updated Skoda Kushaq and Slavia are expected to receive a revamped interior, alongside new colour schemes for the upholstery. There are reports that these two vehicles will get ADAS and a panoramic sunroof. If the Skoda Slavia gets the latter, it would be the segment-first offering, hitherto no direct rival with that feature comes.

However, the Skoda Kushaq with a panoramic sunroof won’t be surprising, as its rivals already offer that, including Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Kia Setlos, to name a few.

Skoda Slavia and Kushaq: Current Features

The Skoda Kushaq and Slavia facelift currently offer ventilated front seats, a single-pane sunroof, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless- Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other offerings include a wireless charger, ambient lighting, exterior LED lights (front and rear), rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, active cornering lights, front fog lamps, auto HVAC, connected car technology, and an engine start/stop button.

On the safety front, these vehicles have an auto-dimming IRVM, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat anchorages, a rear parking camera with guidelines and sensors, a tyre pressure monitor, and electronic stability, to name a few. Further, these two vehicles have a five-star safety rating (full stars in adult- and child protection) from the Global NCAP.

Skoda Slavia and Kushaq Facelift: Expected Powertrains

On the specifications front, the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia facelift are expected to have the same powertrains as the current pre-facelift models. The current engine options are turbo-charged petrol (TSI) units. That said, the 1.0-litre TSI engine produces 114bhp and 178Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre TSI produces 148bhp and 250Nm of peak torque.

The transmission options include a six-speed manual, a six-speed torque converter, and a seven-speed DSG (dual-clutch) automatic transmission.

Skoda Slavia and Kushaq Facelift: Expected Pricing

The ongoing Slavia sedan and Kushaq SUV have a starting price of Rs 10.69 lakh and Rs 10.89 lakh, respectively. You can expect a slight premium from the facelifted offerings.
