Ford has introduced an offroad-oriented version of their immensely popular SUV, the Everest, in the Australian market, named Everest Tremor. This offroad-focused version is based on the ongoing standard Ford Everest SUV. This Ford SUV was once sold in India as the Ford Endeavour which was the direct rival of the Toyota Fortuner.
For those unaware, the new Ford Endeavour is likely to mark its India debut soon, as it has been spotted testing on the Indian tarmac several times.
Everything New in Ford Everest Tremor
The Everest Tremor is evidently distinctive from the standard car with its 17-inch black alloy wheels, wrapped with General Grabber AT3 All-Terrain tyres and Asphalt Black wheel arches. The SUV also boasts a different grille with factory-fitted auxiliary lamps, front tow hooks, and a steel bash plate for better protection offroad.
Accessories like an ARB Stealth Bar at the front, ARB Under Vehicle Armour, and an auxiliary switch bank are offered under the umbrella of an optional Rough Terrain pack. This special offroad-focused version of the Everest SUV is loaded with seven driving modes, thanks to the additional Rock Crawl drive mode.
The SUV also wears its special edition Tremor badging on the front doors, seats, and floor mats.
The Everest Tremor is offered only with one engine option which is the best in the Everest lineup; a 3.0-litre V6 diesel burner which churns out 250hp and 600Nm. This powerhouse is mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission which puts power down to all four wheels.
This offroad-focused Everest Tremor is on sale in Australia for $83,303 (AUD) (roughly Rs 47 lakh), excluding optional accessories.
The Ford Everest’s India comeback is still awaited because this was one of the best offerings in its segment and still has a cult following among car enthusiasts in the country.
