As we reported earlier, Nissan India is all set to launch their mid-size SUV, the Nissan X-Trail in India. The brand has confirmed the launch date of August 1, 2024. The SUV will be the second Nissan car after the Nissan Maginite, as far as the company's Indian portfolio is concerned.

Performance and Features

Nissan is bringing the X-Trail via CBU and it will be offered in only one configuration with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 12V mild hybrid system. This engine will be mated to a CVT box which puts all the 163hp and 300Nm down to the front wheels.

The SUV comes with a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry and go, drive modes, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function, cruise control, a 360-degree camera dual-pane panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and an 8-inch infotainment screen, to name a few.

There will also be safety features like 7 airbags, auto wipers, traction control, hill start assist, and front and rear parking sensors. The SUV will be equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and offer three colour options, including Diamond Black, Champagne Silver, and Pearl White.

Expected Pricing

The pricing details of the SUV remain under the curtains but we anticipate this Japanese SUV to touch the Rs 40 lakh mark in our country. This vehicle will follow the CBU route.

The SUV will be offered in a 7-seater configuration. Once launched on August 1, it will take the likes of the Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, and Jeep Meridian, to name a few.
